Moong Dal /Cherupayar

Cherupayar refers to green gram (moong beans), a type of lentil, and also to popular Kerala dishes made from it, such as Cherupayar Curry (a green gram and coconut curry) or Cherupayar Thoran (a stir-fried dish with green gram, coconut, and spices). It’s a healthy, protein-rich legume used in various South Indian cuisines.
